Top FA 3B

  1. Dusty Stone (.237/.293/.348; 6 HR, 28 RBI)
The top rated player has good power, to go along with the ability to drive the ball against both LHP and RHP. He's slightly better against LHP. He is sorely lacking in his knowledge of the strike zone as well as the ability to make consistent contact. He's got a decent arm, decent glove, but follows that up with below average range.
  2. Bryant Gray (.309/.396/.557; 25 HR, 74 RBI**AAA)
A solid stopgap, Gray is a mediocre defender. His arm is decent, while he lacks ideal range for 3B. He's going to strike out a fair amount, but does have some power. He's going to struggle against LHP while being average against RHP. His eye is above average, which will allow him to get on base some. He's slow.
  3. Harold Ojala (.289/.367/.662; 54 HR, 151 RBI**AAA) signed w/CIN (1 yr/$2.7M)
Ojala makes his case by having elite power. He's below average against RHP and LHP and will struggle to make consistent contact. His batting eye is merely average. He lacks ideal range, but has a decent glove and decent arm.
hurricane384's take: This is a group where power is ample, but you're going to pay for in strikeouts. There isn't an elite defender in here, and really, don't bank on this group to provide you with your future 3B.
