- Jhonny Ontiveros (.239/.287/.386; 3 HR, 15 RBI; 1/1 CS, 4.90 CERA)
The best in a very weak class, Ontiveros is an ideal defensive replacement. He has an average bat, but really struggles to drive the ball consistently. He has a terrible eye. He's slow, but he does have decent durability. He's got a strong, accurate arm and can really call a game. He may be ideal for a staff (or starter) who have pitch deficiencies. - J.J. Gibson (.206/.302/.227; 1 HR, 13 RBI; 11/36 CS, 4.53 CERA)
Another guy who isn't going to knock anyone's socks off with his offense, Gibson does have some ability to make contact and does a better job than Ontiveros of driving the ball consistently. He's got a good eye. He's not as durable, nor is he as good defensively. He struggles with calling the game. He's got an accurate arm, but it isn't very strong. - Damian Sullivan (.291/.350/.510; 9 HR, 31 RBI; 9/36 CS, 4.83 CERA**AAA)
A AAA player last season, Sullivan might have a chance to cash in this season in a weak C free agent market. He is average at making contact and power but struggles to drive the ball consistently. A poor eye. He's got a weak arm that is average in accuracy. He's above average at calling a game.
****Albert Belliard is listed as a FA C, but I do not consider him one, due his poor PC.****
