Top FA SP

This is a solid group, although not very deep. Once you get past the top 5, you're not going to find much out there.
  1. Fausto Lopez TEX (5 yrs - $89.0M)
The prize of the market, Lopez has average stamina and durability, but his ability to locate is pretty good. Does a great job at keeping the ball out of the hitting zone. He's got good velocity and is adept at getting grounders. His pitches are worrisome as he has 3 above average pitches, 1 average, and 1 poor. He's going to be a big addition to some team.
  2. Jason Drew MIL (4 yrs - $51.0M)
A good signing for a guy who has some years left in him. He's got decent stamina and durability, and is going to dominate RHB. He can get groundballs almost at will. He's got good velocity and can locate his pitches really well. He's got 3 above average pitches, an average pitch and a below average pitch, but should definitely perform well this season.
  3. Pepper Hayes MON (3 yrs - $19.5M)
He does a great job at keeping the ball out of the hitting zone. He doesn't have great velocity but he does have great control. He's average at inducing groundballs. He's got one above average pitch to combine with 3 average to slightly above average pitches, so that is a concern. He is a durable pitcher, but lacks the stamina to go deep into ballgames.
